I realized that i never published this blog post even though it has been written a long time ago. So this will be a throw back to April this year.
I had an amazing time in Vaasa last week. I kicked off my stay with the opening of Sweet Art #2 featuring my letterings. The "gallery" is a coffe house called Sweet Vaasa. The Australian owner Kim wants to fill her coffee house walls with art supporting both local and non-local artists. She is collaborating with Johanna Stenback of Jokowski who is producer of the exhibitions and other events for Sweet Vaasa. I had the honour of displaying my artwork in their second exhibition.
And oh, Kim makes a killer Pavlova and other truly heavenly (and sinful;) sweet things! I also had their lunch salad and loved that too!
Johanna made this beauty of a video to document the Lettering Workshop and also show the letterings of the exhibition. I love how good the prints look hanging on the walls!
If ever in Vaasa, Finland, do go and have peek at my work before closing on May 22nd, and enjoy something sweet while there!
All lettering designs can be bought at the Minun\Min store nearby Sweet Vaasa in the centre of Vaasa.
The photos are taken by the talented Malin Åbrandt. Thank you!
